Since September 2019 Dr. Tamara Tal
has been working in our department. Before that, Tamara Tal was a Principal Investigator at the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) in the Integrated Systems Toxicology Division. She completed postdoctoral research fellowships at Oregon State University and the U.S. EPA where she investigated the developmental toxicity of environmental chemicals in zebrafish. At the UFZ, the Tal lab is continuing to study whether host-associated microbiota modify the toxicokinetics and/or toxicodynamics of chemical exposures in zebrafish with a particular focus on the establishment of microbial-dependent neurobehavioral signaling during development.
We warmly welcome Tamara Tal!
