Forschungsgebiet
Mein Forschungsgebiet ist die mikrobielle Ökologie anaerober Systeme, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf technischen Systemen wie Biogasanlagen, Kläranlagen und Bioreaktoren für die mikrobielle Umwandlung organischer Abfälle in wertvolle Produkte. Ziel der Forschung ist es, biotechnologische Prozesse auf der Grundlage komplexer mikrobieller Gemeinschaften zu optimieren und das metabolische Potenzial anaerober Mikroorganismen für neuartige Bioprozesse im Kontext der nachhaltigen Kreislaufwirtschaft nutzbar zu machen. Die MicAS-Gruppe kombiniert anaerobe Kultivierung und den Betrieb von Bioreaktoren im Labormaßstab mit molekularen Methoden zur Analyse mikrobieller Gemeinschaften und Multi-omics-Ansätzen, um Stoffwechselfunktionen und Interaktionen in natürlichen, angereicherten und kontruierten mikrobiellen Konsortien zu erforschen.Publikationen
