Forschungsgebiet
Mein Forschungsgebiet ist die mikrobielle Ökologie anaerober Systeme, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf technischen Systemen wie Biogasanlagen, Kläranlagen und Bioreaktoren für die mikrobielle Umwandlung organischer Abfall- und Reststoffe in wertvolle Produkte. Ziel dieser Forschung ist es, biotechnologische Prozesse auf der Grundlage komplexer mikrobieller Gemeinschaften zu optimieren und das metabolische Potenzial anaerober Mikroorganismen für neuartige Bioprozesse im Kontext der nachhaltigen Kreislaufwirtschaft nutzbar zu machen. Die MicAS-Gruppe kombiniert anaerobe Kultivierung und den Betrieb von Bioreaktoren im Labormaßstab mit molekularen Methoden zur Analyse mikrobieller Gemeinschaften und Multi-omics-Ansätzen, um Stoffwechselfunktionen und Interaktionen in natürlichen, angereicherten und konstruierten mikrobiellen Konsortien zu erforschen.Publikationen
