Microcosms (small worlds)

We build small, experimental ecosystems in the lab to link quantitative, functional organism traits to mechanistic models of coexistence.  The high level of control this provides allows us to track the physiology of organisms and the dynamics of populations in diverse communities and along environmental gradients.
