Short description:
The main objectives of the BioTraFo project are to transfer the results of bioenergy research to the scientific and industrial communities, and to establish a network of bioenergy researchers to maximise the strategic benefits of the ‘Energetic use of biogenic residues and waste materials’ funding priority in the energy research programme. To this end, bioenergy research stakeholders are specifically networked and research results are systematically processed. These strategic formats will strengthen knowledge exchange within the bioenergy research network and make it accessible to other stakeholders. Target group-oriented knowledge transfer increases the visibility of scientific progress and promotes its economic utilisation. The results are processed in line with the energy research programme's objectives and key scientific topics. Current findings are categorised and incorporated into consultations, conferences, workshops and publications. This enables research trends to be recognised at an early stage, facilitating the identification of necessary action. By providing harmonised methods for determining technology parameters, production costs and greenhouse gas emissions, projects within the funding priority can compile valid data for economic and ecological evaluations. Best-practice examples support the development of research funding and the integration of innovative bioenergy technologies into the energy system.
A project database ensures transparent documentation. Promising solutions are identified and incorporated into new project ideas and the funding strategy. Events such as the Bioenergy Status Conference and the Bioenergy Talk encourage networking, knowledge sharing and the transfer of best practice. As an interface between research, politics and practice, accompanying research strengthens the market proximity and social connectivity of funded technologies.Publications:
