Research Interests

  • N-Cycling soil microorganism
  • Multi-omics approaches to soil microbes
  • Isolation and characterization of microbial resource in soil
  • Effects of climate changes on soil microbial community structure and function

Research Projects

DiscoMole and iSBio

In this project, we want to explore the relationship between microbial diversity and functions in global soil samples from iSBio Consortium.

Global Change Experimental Facility (GCEF)

In this project, we want to understand the effects of climate change and land use on soil microbial diversity and function at the GCEF platform.

Techniques

  • Isotope labeling methods (13CO2 and 15N2)
  • Microbial community and function analyses (amplicon sequencing)
  • Meta-omics approach (metagenome, metatranscriptome)
  • Mass spectrometry analysis (NanoSIMS, IRMS)
