After several years of working as a product developer, Arina shifted her professional focus back to analytical laboratory work. During her studies and both of her thesis projects, she specialized in instrumental analysis and has been able to build on this expertise since joining the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, initially working in the Department of Analytical Environmental Chemistry. Currently, as a member of the Department of Cell Toxicology, her work focuses on testing the stability of various chemicals in cell culture media. In addition, she is developing hands-on skills in planning, conducting, and evaluating cell-based in vitro bioassays to study the effects of environmental contaminants.
