Research
My research has been focused on intra and extracellular degradation of polyurethane monomer (2,4-TDA) and oligomer (Dihydroxy-functional oligomer) by Pseudomonas capeferrum TDA1.
We analysed the effect of 2,4-TDA as a carbon source in the gene regulation and identified a catabolic pathway using RNA-seq. In order to understand the complete mechanism of biodegradation, outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) that could be involved in polyurethane biodegradation were examined through proteomics.
Also, I participated in the project “NoStress” evaluating solvent tolerance and adaptability of four different Pseudomonas strains for biotechnological applications.
