Researchers from the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) Heidelberg, Friedrich Schiller University Jena and UFZ have discovered new biomarkers for the detection and quantification of cancers and starting points for new cancer immunotherapies.
A team with the participation of UFZ alumni Saskia Trump from our department has now founded cAHRmeleon Bioscience GmbH and is developing biomarker and companion diagnostic services for precision medicine in cancer immunotherapy for the biopharmaceutical market.

Prof. Ana Zenclussen and Dr. Violeta Stojanovska, together with PD Dr. Stefan Fest, took part in the annual conference of the American Society for Reproductive Immunology in Nashville. In addition to presenting their own results on the topic of "Characterization of 3D trophoblast spheroids as a model of placenta functionality", our scientists also had the opportunity to finally exchange ideas in person with colleagues from all over the world.
Dr. Clarisa Santamaria gave an oral presentation at this years IFFS World Congress, topic: Uncovering the participation of Regulatory T cells and Dendritic cells in embryo implantation using human heterologous in vitro implantation models. She was awarded during the Junior researchers panel - Prize Giving session. Congratulations!
