The annual IFPA meeting 2023 took place from 5th to 8th September in Rotorua, New Zealand. Prof. Ana Zenclussen gave an invited talk about B cell-mediated mechanisms underlying pregnancy complications.
Our German-Italian cooperation project reveals the potential harmful effects of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). They are present in our everyday life and will continue to do so for further decades due to their extreme longevity. New publication about the detrimental effects of daily life chemicals on health, especially during pregnancy. The article shows results of a survey among 289 women between the ages of 18 and 45 about their environmental chemical education requirements.
The 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting took place 26th to 30th of June. Our team member Dr. Violeta Stojanovska got invited as one of 600 international researchers to meet 39 Nobel laureates.
On Friday, June 23rd, the Long Night of Sciences in Leipzig took place. Many interested visitors wanted to learn more about environmental chemicals and their effects on health, placenta, pregnancy, and child development and tested their knowledge in our quiz. It was a succesful evening!
On June 22nd, we welcomed Dr. Rosanna Ramhorst as our guest, who presented her research on immunoregulation of the decidualization program and spent two days with us. Thank you for being here, it was a pleasure!
The annual meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Immunology (ASRI) took place May 21st to 25th in Santa Fe, NM, USA. Our team members Dr. Anne Schumacher and Dr. Tobias Kretschmer attended the meeting and presented their research.
