Aleksandra Piotrowska

Since February 2018 Aleksandra has been working at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in the department of Effect-Directed Analysis as a technician. She is responsible for operation of analytical instruments including mass spectrometers and chromatographs (e.g. GC and HPLC) in purpose to qualitatively and quantitatively analyzes samples.

Aleksandra studied at Poznan University of Technology and at University of Medical Sciences in Poznan (Poland). She was a guest PhD student in the department of Environmental Biotechnology (UFZ - Leipzig) and a scholarship holder of the DBU Scholarship Exchange Programme. She finished her study with the PhD in chemistry on” A study of potential toxic effects of designed ionic liquids on bacterium Pseudomonas putida and embryos of the zebrafish (Danio rerio) as model organisms”.
