Erik Müller joined the Department of Effect-Directed Analysis as a PhD student in August 2016.
He is a member of the EU-funded large-scale project SOLUTIONS. New methods to affect decision making in European environmental and water policies are developed in this project. Furthermore, consistent approaches to identify and characterize chemicals in European large-scale water bodies are established.
During his Bachelor and Master studies of Bioinformatics at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (2012-2016), Erik worked as a student assistant at the UFZ. His dissertation deals with the development of identification and detection algorithms of chemical patterns in water bodies under different land use circumstances.
