Current Project
In my PhD project, I explore EU policy developments in the context of the material basis of energy transitions. Using a narrative approach, I analyze how different interpretations and understandings have evolved over time, how they have been translated into policies, and how these policies can be assessed in the context of a transformation towards sustainability. My research combines insights from interpretive policy analysis with concepts from the field of energy justice, aiming to understand how power dynamics and notions of justice are reflected in the EU´s resource policies.
In the context of my work within the Themenkolleg Governance Monitor PhD cohort, I investigate how a retrospective view of past policy developments can inform future strategies for creating just and sustainable policies.
