Forschungsschwerpunkte / Research interests
I am a spatial ecologist with a strong interest in understanding the distribution of biodiversity across space and time. In my research, I seek to improve analytical approaches for modeling species' distributions and apply these methods to gain insights into the biogeography and ecology of species.
My PhD research focused on integrating big satellite image and animal tracking datasets for improving habitat models for large mammals. In my postdoctoral research, I assessed macroecological diversity patterns of bats. Currently, I am working in the Biodiversity Meets Data project, where I co-develop analytical tools for assessing biodiversity patterns and dynamics in Europe.
