Cytometric Histogram Image Comparison (CHIC)

CHIC is an image based analysis tool for cytometric fingerprints which does not require any individual gating procedure. The complete cytometric fingerprint is converted to an image and the differences in cell abundance are represented by grey levels. The difference between cytometric fingerprints is calculated based on image comparison applying functions creating an XOR image and an overlap image. The dissimilarity is finally represented by the average grey value per informative pixel.

An instruction manual and the three parts of the CHIC procedure can be downloaded here .
