David Manske

David Manske has been researching at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig since 2018, focusing on the environmental impacts of expanding renewable energy in the power sector and how these impacts can be represented in a monitoring system. He is responsible for the content of the EE-Monitor, which provides information on the expansion of renewable energies in Germany in the context of nature conservation. In his PhD project, he investigates how the expansion of renewable energy can be mapped using high-resolution regional data, how it interacts with local natural conditions, and what contribution it makes to local energy supply and a climate-neutral energy system.
