David Manske

David Manske has been working at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig since 2018, researching the environmental impacts of the expansion of renewable energies in the electricity sector and how these can be mapped in a monitoring system. He is responsible for the content of the EE-Monitor, which provides information on the expansion of renewable energies in Germany in the context of nature conservation. In his PhD project, he is investigating how the expansion of renewable energy can be mapped on the basis of data with high regional resolution, how it relates to local natural conditions, and what contribution it makes to local energy supply and a climate-neutral energy system.
