Our newest review “Cyanobacterial Biofilms– from Natural Systems to Applications” was just published in Trends in Biotechnology. The paper is now available online: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0167779924002154. Congrats to all the authors!

The "Applause-O-Meter" has spoken! Our seasoned science slammer Selina won the 2nd place at the Vocatium fair science Slam in Dresden. Her presentation was titled: "Wie eine schleimige Bakterien-WG unsere Energie-wende mitgestaltet" - " How a slimy bacterial shared flat helps shape our energy transition."


Amelie, who is already conquering the industry world successfully defended her Thesis "Scale-up of capillary photo-biofilm reactors" at the TU Dresden. All the best Amelie!

Cooperations

Our working group collaborates closely with the junior research group BioMat - Bioactive systems for controlled evolutionary materials at Leipzig University.

We are happy to announce a new collaboration with international partners in the LivMat Project, which investigates "PRODUCTIVE CATALYTIC LIVING MATERIALS" made from poplar fibers.
