SwabianMOSES 2023

The "SwabianMOSES" measurement campaign is designed to investigate extreme weather events in the Black Forest, along the Neckar valley, on the Swabian Alb and in the Lindach catchment area west of Stuttgart and is carried out within the mobile and modular observation system     MOSES.

Shown below are measurements from six soil moisture sensor networks installed at three sites in the Lindach catchment and at two sites in the Black Forest and near Villingen-Schwenningen. At each site, two probes are installed at three different depths. Shown here is the time history of soil moisture, averaged from two sensors at a depth of 5 cm each.
The measurement data are each shown as a graph and additionally on a color scale.
