In the UFZ research unit chemicals in the environment (TB CITE) scientists aim to promote the development of green chemistry. One goal is to gain a mechanistic and principle understanding of physico-chemical parameters in combination with biological key events and molecular responses to assess the fate and activity of ionic compounds across species in a human and environmental health perspective. In the frame of an interdisciplinary project, combining the application of state-of-the-art chemical analytics, bio-analytics, modelling, machine learning on chemical structures, multi-omics data analysis and integration, and comparative genomics, the UFZ TB CITE is currently offering 4 PhD positions.
