Anett Richter was invited lecturer for the First Austrian Citizen Science Summer School. Over 30 participants from over 16 countries learnt about how to integrate citizen science in research.

21.08.2018 - 01.09.2018 Emilie Crouzat teaching at the 13th AlterNET summer school on biodiversity and ecosystem services. The summer school focused this year on environmental science and its impact on policy and society. Thirty international participants gathered to attend a ten-day training with lectures, field excursions and working group sessions. Find more at
Summer 2018 Several members of the ESS team dedicated six weeks for field work in our three National Parks partners of the ECOPOTENTIAL project (Austria, Switzerland, Portugal). Visitors of the National Parks were asked about their activities and preferences, using individual surveys and participatory mapping, to characterize the cultural ecosystem services enjoyed.
