Lisa joined the Department of Cell Toxicology at UFZ Leipzig in November 2015. Within her PhD thesis she focuses on the evaluation and improvement of models to predict the toxic impact of pharmaceuticals in the environment. One of her aims is to implement the factor of speciation into existing models.
Lisa studied Geoecology at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and finished university in October 2015. Her master thesis dealt with recovery processes of a macrozoobenthic community after heavy pesticide exposure and was written in cooperation with the UFZ Department of System Ecotoxicology.
In previous internships she gained diverse experience in the fields of microbiology and biotechnology, including scientific work at the Department of Bioenergy of the UFZ.
