Contacts Partners Funding Publications

Short description

The Expert Working Group will assess and synthesize relevant knowledge related to the types and characteristics (components) of urban and peri-urban natural spaces (blue and green) that have significant impact on human mental health and mental well-being. This working group is a direct policy request from Working Group Biodiversity & Health of the French National Action Plan Health & Environment lead by the French ministry of Environment.

Structure of the project

First, we will conduct a systematic literature review and quality assessment of studies investigating the effect different types or components of bluespace have on mental health and well-being. The influence of bluespace on health and well-being is a developing research area, and this systematic review was conducted with financial support from the WHO Europe. Second, we will conduct a systematic literature review and quality assessment of all studies investigating the effect of different types or components of greenspace on mental health and well-being.
