Green stimulus and investment packages

The project Green stimulus and investment packages examines the requirements to be placed on "green" economic stimulus and investment policy from an economic perspective and investigates what recommendations can be derived for the choice and design of instruments for green economic stimulus and investment programmes.

The following research questions take centre stage:
(1) What objectives should green economic stimulus and investment programmes be guided by and what criteria result from this for the assessment of specific measures and instruments?
(2) What experiences have been made with certain measures and instruments in the past, for example in the context of economic stimulus packages during the financial crisis?
(3) Which measures and instruments are fundamentally suitable (and which are not) in view of the criteria developed?
(4) What obstacles stand in the way of the measures and instruments that are generally recommendable and to what extent can they be removed, e.g. through accompanying instruments/measures?
(5) What specific recommendations for action can be derived on the basis of these analyses?
