School Holiday Camps 2023

In the last two holiday weeks this year's summer camp took place in Leipzig.

Wald&Wiese Paunsdorf During the summer camp weeks, a total of 36 children in mixed-age groups from 6 to 12 were able to explore the Leipzig Science Park under the motto "Discover & experience biodiversity", conduct research together and take part in excursions. The latter took the children to the Heiterblick grazing project, the Ludwig Garden and the "Forest & Meadow" forest garden.

There were also games and sports activities. The children learned about different habitats and biodiversity in a hands-on program organized by the KinderUmweltbus team. They got creative while working with natural materials.

All in all, it were eventful weeks for the children, in which many new friendships were made in addition to exciting activities.

Many thanks to Nikola Allinger, Henrike Müller and their team from Amöba - Verein für Umweltbildung e.V. for organizing the camp, to Katharina Klauer and Lena for designing the hands-on program with the KinderUmweltbus, and to all the other participants in the Science Park.

We look forward to seeing you again at the 2024 summer camp, which will again be offered in the last two weeks of the vacation season.
