Microclimate

Using a self-organizing wireless sensor network we developed a very felxibel open platform for the integration of sensores across the GCEF study area. In our standard measuring programm we assess:

- air temperature, air humidity and photosynthetically active radiation in three heights (5 cm, 30 cm, 70 cm) in 15 min intervalls on all experimental plots (n = 50),

- soil temperature and soil moisture in three depth ranges (0 - 10 cm, 10 - 18 cm, 18 - 26 cm) in 60 min intervalls on all experimental plots (n= 50),

- global radiation (15 min intervall) and rainfall (15 min sum) for all mainplots (n = 10).
