Current Sites

UFZ Green Roof Research

The Green Roof Research Facility at the UFZ in Germany is dedicated to the study of green roofs as blue-green infrastructure. Through their ability to absorb and store water, green roofs contribute to the cooling of urban environments and support effective rainwater management. Additionally, they provide habitats for diverse plant and animal species and serve as sinks for CO2 and particulate matter.
