Buildings and Facility Management

The task of the Building and Facility Management (BFM) department is defined as assuming operator responsibility for the employer while ensuring a high level of availability of the research and office buildings and technical facilities, in accordance with the protection goals of the legislator.
The department also offers various services to support scientific research and infrastructure.
The tasks of the Construction and Facility Management department also include involvement in the preparation, planning and implementation of all construction projects of the Environmental Research Center and participation in the strategic considerations for the energy-related redesign and further development of the Science Park Leipzig.

On the shop-floor level of the buildings department, it is primarily project-related needs of research assignments that are implemented and realised with scientific and technical toolbuilding.
