Abstract | Spatial planning has to integrate the often conflicting demands and interests stemming from the multiple functions landscapes have to fulfil. One crucial point in this context is the regional scale, where the overall principle of sustainable development needs to be diversified into spatially differentiated objectives and standards for future landscape development. |
