Abstract

Based on the stagnant film model two different mass transfer models are discussed and estimates for the mass transfer coefficient are calculated: The diffusive film model value is 2 × 10-7 m s-1 and the Sherwood number value is 8.1 × 10-8 m s-1. These values are in good agreement with the experi-mental values, which lie in the range from 6 × 10-8 to 4 × 10-7 m s-1.
