| Abstract | Urban air quality is highly dynamic and it is largely controlled by micrometeorological conditions as well as anthropogeinic emissions. The unprecedented growth of urban centres, industries and vehicles population have resulted in serious air quality problems in several countries. In this chapter we briefly discuss urban air pollution, types of air pollutants, sources of air pollution, air quality trends, current air pollution issues and air quality management options. |
