| Abstract | By using modelling results we show theoretical foundings and principal boundaries of the Biotop-Connection-Concept (BCC). Due to the dispersal strategy (mobility and range) specific conditions have to be fulfilled before connection can be successful at all. Consequences for th impact of BCC as conservation strategy and the role of the metapopulation theory are deduced. |
