A new procedure for taking soil monoliths is presented, which makes it possible to take soil columns with high precision and undisturbed soil structure without using any heavy technology. The new equipment guarantees a vertical guidance of the lysimeter vessel until the withdrawal depth. During the process the contour of the soil monolith is pre-bladed by a rotary tool which is connected with the lysimeter vessel. The final contour of the soil monolith is formed by a circulation blade, which is fixed forehead- sided on the lysimeter vessel. The lysimeter picks up the contour of the soil column form faithfully. Only little forces are needed for digging out the lysimeters by reducing the coat friction. The soil monolith is not deformed during the extraction and the extraction site is only minimal damaged by using such a light technology.
