| Abstract | Corporate Scope 3 aviation reporting relies on operational GHG calculators built for fossil kerosene, with limited flight-level treatment of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and inconsistent well-to-wake (WTW) and non-CO₂ boundaries. We assemble twelve evidence-graded commercial flights with documented SAF blends (0.22–100%) and derive ISO 14083/GLEC-consistent WTW intensities. We then reconcile the results against TIM, the ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculator, DEFRA factors with and without RFI, and ATP-DEC through native, factor-normalised and SAF-corrected stages. Native estimates diverge by up to fourfold on the shared passenger-plus-luggage perimeter; harmonising emission factors leaves most dispersion intact. Non-CO₂ treatment is the dominant driver, while routine SAF blends reduce WTW by less than 2%. Full substitution cuts pax+luggage WTW strongly but leaves ATP-DEC TOTAL largely unabated. We propose a minimal auditable SAF overlay for Scope 3 reporting. |
