Abstract | To replace petro-based chemistry, the electrosynthesis of fuels and chemicals is of utmost importance. However, innovation in the field is slowed by a lack of tools, especially standardized bench-top reactor systems. In addition, the specifications of such a device remain vague. To close the gap, technical parameters were gathered in an online survey. It is evident that there is grand demand for off-the-shelf electrobioreactors integrating electrochemistry into bioreactors in a standardized way. |
