| Abstract | This article follows from the partnership of the Department for Environmental and Planning Law, Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research GmbH – UFZ in the All-Risk project on new flood safety standards in the Netherlands. The article provides a com-parison between the Dutch and the German approaches in flood risk management. Discussing the results of the project so far, the question arises in what way the situation in Germany can be compared to the Netherlands, both regarding the flood risks as well as the way these risks are managed and governed |
