Abstract | In this issue of One Earth, Scown et al. assess the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy’s payment distributions. Their findings indicate strong biases, requiring the EU to address payment inequality among farmers and to target subsidies specifically toward reversing environmental degradation, decarbonizing agriculture, and halting biodiversity losses. |
