| Abstract | Numerous studies have intensively analysed Poyang Lake and its basin during the last decades. In order to track the footprint of research on Poyang Lake a bibliometric analysis was conducted based on entries in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database and the Scopus database recorded between 1983 and 2017. CNKI has one of the world’s largest full-text information volume library “CNKI digital library” and is the biggest databank of journals, articles, books, statistical yearbooks and, conference reports in China including different fields and topics such as environmental science, engineering, computer science, medicine, social sciences, energy and chemistry. |
