Abstract | A simple, fast and cost-effective method for the taxon-specific separation of various 16S rRNAs was developed. This primer extension mediated separation of different RNA species was obtained on agarose gels. The method provides an easy way for the investigation of substrate mediated radioisotope incorporation into the RNA. |
