AI for decision making in strategic processes
In this project, we aim to create an intuitive, data-driven platform that maps researchers' skills, expertise, and work methodologies, enabling research groups to optimize strategic planning and resource allocation, foster cross-functional collaboration, and enhance knowledge sharing for greater productivity and innovation.
An AI-based interface provides easy human-like access to this data. We use an agent-based system utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to establish a connection between knowledge and user with sophisticated engineered prompts to optimize the results
The overall vision of this project is to empower research groups with intelligent insights into their workforce, facilitating data-driven strategy planning, optimized collaboration, and innovation by unlocking the full potential of employee expertise and knowledge.
Goal: Automatically extract knowledge on available research expertise to support strategic processes of a research group
In this project we are working with:
- Large language models for extracting relevant information, information structuring and to develop agents for knowledge-user interactions
- Graph databases to store knowledge as accessible knowledge graph.
- Retrieval Augmented Generation to link knowledge with LLMs
Currently, there are 2 Master's thesis projects in progress:
1. Automating Knowledge Capture: From Data Collection to Graph Database Storage
2. Developing a RAG-Powered LLM Chatbot: From Knowledge Graphs to Conversations
