Ecological modelling gains influence not only on a global scale, but also for solving specific questions of ecosystem management and nature conservation. The Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) has a broad expertise on different modelling methods and concepts. Furthermore, the UFZ also works on theoretical and conceptual issues.
