Research Interests

A recurring theme in my work is dealing with research data that is difficult to reuse or compare. I am currently working on a metadata standard for video-tracking assays, which are used in ecotoxicology and neuroscience. In addition, I am interested in bioinformatic workflows and the use of Large Language Models, in particular for analyzing regulatory documents.
The starting point for this was my PhD in forensic genetics, where I investigated whether next generation sequencing provides additional information gain for forensic DNA analysis compared to capillary electrophoresis. Through a subsequent bioinformatics training program and my work in NGS-based molecular tumor diagnostics, my profile has increasingly developed toward programming and data analysis.
