Strategic Career Opportunities

At the UFZ, excellent, collaborative, and diverse research teams are at the heart of our mission. We aim for excellence in science, in world-class research infrastructures, and in knowledge transfer that makes a difference. Guided by our strategic priorities, we invite excellent researchers to join the UFZ.

In addition to our job advertisements, there are some instruments to join the UFZ at postdoctoral level or beyond. These are briefly described below.

UFZ Funded Programs

Tenure track positions are derived from the UFZ scientific strategy and its thematic priorities. These positions are advertised publicly.

Depending on the position, academics are initially employed on a fixed term contract for up to six years with an interim and a final evaluation. Following a positive final evaluation, the employee will be offered a permanent position.
