We are available to assist both doctoral candidates and supervisors with any questions, problems, or suggestions regarding doctoral studies. We oversee processes such as reports, advocate for the interests of doctoral candidates, and collaborate with the doctoral candidate representative body, Do-It.

Leaders may request individual coaching and mediation to help resolve conflicts within their teams. We provide guidelines and checklists to facilitate our mandatory dialogue formats, such as the 100-day review, annual review, and offboarding review.

Consulting and support about Work-life balance
At the Family Office, we support all our employees in balancing caregiving and work responsibilities. Employees receive information and personalized advice on maternity leave, parental leave and allowance, childcare, and vacation options. The Family Office also offers guidance on caring for relatives and using family care leave. Leaders receive guidance on implementing family-friendly solutions.
Consulting and support for internationals
The International Office advises and supports international employees and guests as well as their families with regard to entry visas and residence permits for Germany and provides guidance on the associated formalities. The focus is on creating a welcoming culture and the integration of our international guests. To this objective, information is provided via the website and guidelines to facilitate the start in Germany and at the UFZ sites. Thanks to long-standing partnerships with the immigration authorities, bureaucratic processes can be accelerated and simplified.

Our statistics support team can be consulted on statistical issues relating to your own research project. Appointments can be booked by providing a description of the problem.
