Services of ecosystems as the pollination of plants through bees are taking for granted from us humans.

Global results of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment reveal how strongly loss of ecosystem services already affects human
well-being and how severe this could be in future (growing demand but decreasing capacity). Numerous political documents
(amongst others CBD COP8) adopt these approaches.
