Children's Environmental Health
in Urban Context
Children’s health is significantly shaped by the environment they grow up in. Ensuring a healthy living environment for the prevention of childhood diseases is one of the essential tasks of our society. Currently, we observe dramatic change in the social and physical disposition of our children and adolescents. The onset of many physical illnesses, such as diabetes, asthma and allergies but also high blood pressure and consequent cardiovascular disease, are influenced by lifestyle and environmental factors.
From December 2018 to June 2019 we invited six international experts who presented a variety of scientific perspectives and triggered lively discussions.
