Ayesha Siddique
Research interests
Ayesha received her masters degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from University of the Punjab, Pakistan and specialized in Human Genetics. In 2019, she joined our department and is working on pesticide tolerance and genetic adaptation in macroinvertebrates under field relevant conditions. Her research interests include genetic diversity, fitness costs associated with tolerance and long term effects of pesticides.
Internships and grants
09/2017-03/2019
Research assistant at the Department System Eco-toxicology, Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research – UFZ, Leipzig, Germany.
Doctoral fellowship from Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD).
