The project aims to answer the following questions in relation to private mitigation measures for improving the preparedness and protection of individuals and communities at risk of natural hazards such as flooding, storms and heat waves:

• Which factors motivate private mitigation measures?
• How do measures, services and products influence private mitigation motivation?
• Is the emphasis placed on private mitigation measures likely to create new inequalities?
