In a collaboration with the Department Analytical Chemistry we tested the mixture effects of extracts from tire and road wear particles in highway tunnel road dust with the CITEPro in vitro bioassay test battery and found strikingly high activation of aryl hydrocarbon receptor, especially in extracts from small size fractions.
