10 years in the thinking, 1 year in the writing – check out the open-access second edition of “Bioanalytical Tools in Water Quality Assessment” and supplementary material
Thank you to our coauthors Dr. Peta Neale, long-time partner in crime, and Prof. Fred Leusch, who introduced us to working with human cell lines.
We are now offering experimental theses again.
If you are interested in writing your Bachelor or Master Thesis at the department of Cell Toxicology you can contact Beate Escher or you can express your interest by clicking here.
In collaboration with Peter Tentscher, Urs von Gunten and others at Eawag we demonstrated in the new paper "Toxic effects of substituted p-benzoquinones and hydroquinones in in vitro bioassays are altered by reactions with the cell assay medium" published in “Water Research” how reactions of chemicals with medium components alter uptake and effects of reactive chemicals.
