The UFZ library

The UFZ library collects and indexes the technical literature relevant to the UFZ as an international competence centre for environmental research.

The library is happy to assist you with the following questions, among others:
- all aspects of literature research or management
- open access
- bibliometry
- personal academic identification management (e.g. ORCID)
- notification of publications and automatic generation of publication lists on own websites

Our print stocks are located in Leipzig, Halle and Magdeburg.

Springer e-book collections

From now on you have access to the following Springer e-book collections (volumes 2018 and 2019) and thus to the electronic content of over 1,000 titles.

DEAL - Cancellation of 2018th Elsevier content

Elsevier is gradually cancelling the content of 2018th journals after the collaps of the DEAL negotiations. Wiley and Springer Nature`s subscriptions are still running.

Theme: "Changing climate"

Climate change is currently the greatest global challenge facing mankind. CO2 emissions rose to a record high in 2018 and sea levels are rising faster than ever. Extreme weather events are on the increase. Can global warming still be limited, or is mankind slipping into a hot age? What must climate policy look like today and what can individuals do to protect the climate in order to achieve the necessary climate targets?
We have compiled literature on the subject from the UFZ library in a small exhibition for you.
