Research for the Environment

Department of Ecological Modelling

Welcome to the Department of Ecological Modelling!

We study the dynamics of ecosystems and communities and the services they provide to humans. Our group consists of ecologists, mathematicians, physicists, and computer scientists. In multidisciplinary teams, we work to enhance our understanding on terrestrial ecological systems and to support conservation, management, and policy development. Examples of this work include spatial population models, forest and grassland models, the spread of epidemics and coupled ecological-economic models. An extensive overview of our research activities can be found in our research and publication sections.
