ENVINF

The focal part of the Department of Environmental Informatics (ENVINF) is the development of the OpenGeoSys (OGS) platform for modeling thermo-hydro-mechanical-chemical (THMC) processes in fractured-porous media (www.opengeosys.org). The main research areas are Environmental Geosystems (geomechanical, geothermal, and reactive transport processes) and Groundwater Systems (regional and complex processes) as well as Software Engineering and Virtual Reality approaches.
